The adage remains true: there is strength in numbers.
For 15 years, Montreal’s McGill University has hosted an annual conference to discuss specific challenges facing Canada. This year, on March 25 and 26, attendees (including Canada’s Environment Minister, the Honorable Jim Prentice) gathered to talk about water.
During its two days, conference participants discussed topics such as water challenges facing Canadian organizations, climate change and the privatization of water. ONE DROP’s water and education advisor, Marie-Anne Champoux-Guimond, praised the event: “By bringing together 200 students, water issues experts, politicians, academics and those from various industries, McGill provided a place for constructive dialogue about the challenges related to protecting, managing and governing water resources.” ONE DROP’s executive director, Lili-Anna Pereša, also spoke at the opening of the conference.
