ONE DROP at NASA’s INAUGURAL LAUNCH: Water

Back to News

Innovators from around the globe were brought together at Florida’s Kennedy Space Center, from March 16 to 18, to inaugurate NASA’s first LAUNCH: Water. The new biannual event is an opportunity for organizations and people to exchange ideas for tackling a specific issue. NASA decided this first global initiative would address the issues surrounding water. In addition to being invited to hear and assess proposed solutions to world water problems, ONE DROP’s executive director, Lili-Anna Pereša, was asked to describe ONE DROP’s innovative integrated “tripod” approach, which offers aid to water-scarce countries by providing sustainable access to water, micro-financing and a unique community education program based on social arts.
