While Haiti continues its reconstruction efforts two years after a devastating earthquake, ONE DROP is delighted to see that its water-access and sanitation project in the Léogâne region is already contributing to improve the living conditions of the region’s communities.

Created in 2009 for the 20th anniversary of Infiniti and the 25th anniversary of Cirque du Soleil^®, the Infiniti G37 car was auctioned on November 12 in order to raise money for ONE DROP. Montreal artist Heidi Taillefer spent over 300 hours to paint by hand the outside of the vehicle. An anonymous buyer has purchased the work for the sum of $ 55 000, which will go to projects in developing countries.

LA SOIRÉE ONE DROP in Paris is set to raise EUR 308 000, which will be added to the EUR 200,000 contribution made by the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation and to the contribution in excess of EUR 1.1 million from the Conrad N. Hilton Foundation. These generous donations will support the implementation of a water-access project in Burkina Faso.

The official launch of ONE DROP’s Project India took place in Bhubaneswar on November 16, 2011. The three year project aims to improve access to safe water and raise the Orissa population’s awareness of the need to protect this precious resource through social arts and popular education.
