In addition to a project already under way in Nicaragua, the Foundation has identified eight developing countries where it plans to carry out further projects in the coming years: Honduras, El Salvador, Burkina Faso, Mali, Niger, Laos, Cambodia and Vietnam. The Foundation selects where it carries out its projects following on an exhaustive study conducted by experts on the basis of the following criteria:

• a lack of access to water

• good governance

• an organized civil society

• the possibility of achieving tangible results

Future awareness-raising projects might take place in cities where Cirque du Soleil presents touring shows. However, the ONE DROP Foundation’s activities are decided upon independently of those of Cirque du Soleil.
