ONE DROP Joins UN Discussions on Climate Change


It is with much interest that ONE DROP Founder Guy Laliberté, Scientific Committee Chair Sylvie Paquerot and I joined 250 delegates from 84 countries, including 154 ministerial delegations from around the world, to discuss the challenges of our planet’s future.

Water: Increasingly Numerous and Varied Uses Lead to Competition for a Limited Resource


Nowadays, about 8% of fresh water goes to supply basic domestic needs, while industrial requirements account for 38%, but water use varies widely from region to region. These recent figures show an increase in industrial uses compared with the late 80s, when they accounted for 20%.

ONE DROP Plans its Honduras Project


Paul Laporte and his colleague Danielle Valiquette, who recently joined ONE DROP Foundation, have been working together on the deployment of the Honduras project. “Since December 2007, Danielle has been accompanying to Honduras. Her extensive experience in international development is much valued as we plan the project,” notes Paul.

Seeing the PECAN Project through the Photo Lenses of its Technicians


The images presented were the work of PECAN technicians, young Nicaraguan men and women responsible for providing logistical help to beneficiary families. The artists had practically no experience in photography but were taught the basics of the art form at their request.
