ONE DROP is proud to count upon the assistance of The Audemars Piguet Foundation who are supporting an integrated water-access project in El Salvador.

This generous contribution will enable ONE DROP namely, to plant 13,200 trees to prevent soil erosion and provide a stable source of nourishment for targeted communities. The sale of fruit production surpluses may also become an alternate source of revenue for many families. The Foundation’s contribution will also allow for the fabrication of 200 energy-efficient stoves which will counter deforestation by reducing the quantity of wood used to fuel the fire as well as increase the families’ respiratory health.

ONE DROP’s Project El Salvador aims to have bettered the lives of nearly 23,000 beneficiaries by 2016. We remain convinced The Audemars Piguet Foundation’s commitment will be of great help in attaining our ambitious goals.    

ONE DROP is proud to count upon the assistance of Lombard Odier who has graciously accepted to act as presenting partner of ONE DROP’s benefit events held in Zurich and London, in 2012.

On October 4, in Zurich, ONE DROP’s newest presenting partner will be bringing together 300 guests, all of them eager to hear about ONE DROP’s mission and projects. The funds collected during this event will enable the non-profit organization to support its water-access and sound management projects in developing countries.

In addition to the precious contribution awarded by Lombard Odier, LA SOIRÉE ONE DROP Zurich will have been rendered possible by the Cirque du Soleil^TM’s unparalleled generosity and that of other partners, namely Coastal.com, Gianni Kovačević and Air Canada.

For the second consecutive year, ONE DROP joins We Day events organized by Free The Children. Through a unique collaboration with RBC, ONE DROP will showcase an aerial piece. Presented in seven Canadian cities, this poetic circus performance will inspire young people and encourage them to make a difference for water as part of the “What is YOUR one drop?” campaign.

At 3:00 p.m. yesterday, with beautiful sunny conditions and the mercury hitting 28^oC, athletes took off running for the fifth edition of the "Fund Sun Run". In all, 562 employees from Cirque du Soleil and ONE DROP participated in this annual tradition, which highlights the generosity and engagement of the Cirque's Montreal artisans.

Thanks to partners, and to runners and walkers who completed between 5.5 and 11 km of the Complexe environnemental de Saint-Michel track, $48,603.75 was raised in support of ONE DROP's Project Burkina Faso. The funds will help implement initiatives in this African country, particularly in the Cascades and Hauts-Bassins regions, where the most blatant lack of access to drinking water exists.

ONE DROP would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Cirque du Soleil and everyone who ran, walked, volunteered or contributed directly or indirectly to this year's Course du Soleil. Every step you take brings us that much closer to realizing our dream of water for all, today and forever.

Due to the exceptional success of the GAIA Photography Exhibition in Toronto, ONE DROP and its partners are proud to announce that it is being extended until October 1 at The Distillery Historic District and the Thompson Landry Gallery.

This creative project designed by Cirque du SoleilTM Founder, Guy Laliberté for ONE DROP and presented by Fondation Desjardins consists of a selection of large-scale photographs taken by Laliberté while on board the International Space Station (ISS). Tens of thousands of individuals have already visited GAIA and with summer coming to a close, Torontonians will still have a chance to see this spectacular exhibition. The free public exhibit will also span Toronto’s Nuit Blanche, the seventh annual sunset-to-sunrise celebration of contemporary art happening on September 29.
