Many people, moved by the Poetic Social Mission, asked us what they could do to help advance the movement in favour of water. Here are three ways to make a difference:
One step at a time
The ONE DROP™ website suggests many ways to take action in our daily lives to preserve water. For example, you can drink less bottled water, eat less meat or use cleaning products that respect the environment. Check out the My Commitment section on ONEDROP.org to find out more.
Acting locally
Ask about the organizations in your area that work towards protecting water. Support these organizations, take part in their activities. Get involved. Whether you’re a board member of an organization whose projects include revitalizing rivers and streams or whether you’re taking part in shoreline clean-up activities, you’re helping to advance the cause of water.
Getting involved globally
Take part in activities of international organizations that defend the right to water for all and work to decontaminate wastewater and supply safe water to all those who are deprived. Support campaigns, petitions and activities that promote those ideals to change things.
