Sparked by the journey’s success at the Montréal Science Centre where it was visited by nearly 100,000 people, AQUA, the multisensory experience presented by ONE DROP™, is now headed for the Canadian Museum of Nature in Ottawa where it will set up base from May 22 to September 6, 2010. AQUA will go up the St. Lawrence and Ottawa rivers to make a stop in the Canadian capital during the peak tourist season.
ONE DROP and the Canadian Museum of Nature, united for the cause of water
AQUA will essentially offer the same content as in Montréal, but a few modifications will be made, especially to blend in some local references. The Museum’s people made the initial contact with ONE DROP to host AQUA. As the Water Gallery was already scheduled for late spring 2010, they were in search of a complementary exhibition on the same topic. For this, AQUA seemed the perfect choice since its approach, both educational and artistic, is aimed at raising the general public’s awareness on water-related issues and at highlighting the importance of standing together and sharing the wealth to fight poverty. As for the Water Gallery, it will be mostly devoted to the scientific aspect of this important natural resource. In particular, the Gallery will reveal water’s essential role in supporting all life throughout the world.
Without a doubt, bringing these two events together is a unique occasion to present all the facets of water. See you next summer in Canada’s capital!
