WHY REACH OUT TO HAITI?

• Léogâne is one of the areas worst hit by the 2010 Haiti earthquake, with over 80% of the buildings damaged and between 5,000 and 10,000 deaths.
• With the collapse of infrastructure, access to water has become very difficult.

ACCESS TO WATER component

Rehabilitated wells:  221/160 
Family rainwater-harvesting cisterns: 34/34 
Community water centers capable of welcoming up to 2,000 users per month:  3/6 
Rehabilitated irrigation channels for agriculture:  2 km/5 km 
Hectares under cultivation:  4,100/4,100 

AWARENESS component

Performances of a multidisciplinary show about water: 123/275 
Youth having attended a school training session on water and sanitation: 360/540 
Spectators educated about water issues: 63,695/ 82,500
