Women at the Source

When women lead, water becomes a force for change
Around the world, women and girls are disproportionately affected by the water crisis — impacting health, education, and economic opportunity.
But when women gain access to safe water and the power to lead solutions, entire communities transform.
Women at the Source mobilizes women leaders to turn water access into lasting change.

Why it matters
Access to water is more than a basic need. It is a catalyst for dignity, leadership, and opportunity.
Your support helps:
- Enable sustainable access to safe water
- Empower women as leaders of change
- Strengthen communities for the long term
Together, we can transform water access into opportunities for women and families worldwide.

The initiative
In 2026, as the United Nations and partners continue to emphasize the link between water and gender equality, One Drop is launching the first edition of Women at the Source.
This initiative brings together a small circle of women leaders committed to advancing the water and gender movement.
Together, we aim to mobilize $40, 000 in support of sustainable water initiatives, with the ambition to double the impact through a potential matching gift.
About One Drop
Founded in 2007, One Drop works globally to ensure sustainable access to safe water, sanitation, and hygiene through solutions that combine infrastructure, behaviour change, and community empowerment.
