About
In Colombia’s Atlántico Department, families in communities like Villa del Mar and Santo Tomás still face barriers to accessing safe and reliable water. The combination of aging infrastructure, limited technical support, and uneven community engagement makes it difficult to maintain water services over time.
To respond to these challenges, the Lazos de Agua Program is shaping a new initiative that will reach approximately 12,000 people. By strengthening local leadership, encouraging key behavioral shifts, and introducing practical, locally tailored solutions, the project aims to build more resilient systems for water access—now and into the future.
