Shared Responsibility for Clean Toilets

Shared Responsibility for Clean Toilets

After taking part in a social art activity in Sheohar to raise awareness of sanitation issues, here is what a villager told us:

"It’s easy to point to the government and say that, they should maintain the toilets but we also realize that the government can’t do everything for us. It was enough that they helped build the toilets, it’s now our responsibility to maintain it, with our neighbours, children and teachers."
